Whimsical musings of a Software Engineer, Seattlite, and Father

Married!

by Leonard

Well, I actually did it. I got married. I know, it almost comes as a surprise to me also. I do have to say though, that I couldn't be happier. The wedding was a HUGE success. Everyone got along, there was no drama, people danced, people sang, and we all had a really great time. So a big thank you to all of our friends and family who attended.

We are going to send out special thanks to all the people who gave us gifts. We just need some time to get everything settled back into a somewhat normal routine. Some of the cards on the gifts got separated from the gift, so we will be doing our best to make sure you all get the right special thanks.

A very special thanks needs to go out to the staff at Green River Community College. They were so helpful and easy going, it made the whole evening go so smoothly.

Rachel had a brilliant idea of setting up a photo booth with the lap top. It was a huge hit.

I got everyone on the dance floor by singing Play that Funky Music by Wild Cherry. Lots of other people sang and it was nice to see everyone enjoying the dance floor. My parents even got out and danced a couple times!

It's back to work for me today. I know, you're thinking "What about the Honeymoon?" Don't worry, next weekend, we are taking the Clipper up to Victoria for a 3 day/2 night stay. Grandma is going to watch the girls. So, we'll actually have 3 days to ourselves. We are both very much looking forward to it.

There are a few things left to do. We need to call the insurance to let them know we are now officially married, and Rachel is going to change her name. We've decided to wait to do that until after we go to Canada. She has also decided that she wants to change here middle name while she is at it. Among the many choices, she is very much liking Awesomesauce.
